When possible, trenchless sewer pipe repair and replacement is an excellent alternative to traditional methods that can be costly and disruptive. Tranchless Sewer Pipe Line – Best Sewer Repair Solution
When we think of replacing sewer pipes we generally envision big deep trenches in a yard. Torn up landscaping, hardscaping, driveways, and anything else that might be in the way become victim to all the digging. It looks destructive and can be a big mess. There is an alternative to this called Trenchless.
Although trenchless sewer repair has been around for a few decades, it is not uncommon to run into those that have never heard of this option. So we’ll try and explain it in simple terms. The most common types of trenchless sewer line repair and replacement are:
» Pipelining
» Pipe bursting
A pipe liner, also known as “cured-in-place pipe,” is a flexible tube coated with resin that is blown or pulled into the damaged pipe and inflated. The resin then hardens, creating a pipe within a pipe that is jointless and corrosion-resistant. The lining will reduce the diameter of the lateral pipe which connects the home to the main sewer line. Pipelining might not be possible if the lateral has joints or has collapsed, but the pipe bursting method can still be done on a collapsed lateral if there’s room to drag a cable through the old pipe.
Pipe bursting involves pulling a new pipe through a damaged one, while simultaneously fracturing the old pipe. This typically requires digging access holes on either side of the lateral pipe.
Costs for trenchless replacement vary, depending on factors like material. soil type, and how deep sewers are buried.

This process also involves getting approvals from the government, permits, and traffic control (rerouting) for the area that will need to be cut off for the repair.
